Pooja Room Vastu
Pooja Room is a place where we worship God for peace, progress & prosperity for the residents of house. It is important to gain positive energies to connect to God.
Placement of a “Pooja Ghar” itself brings positive energies in a home, but designing this sacred place as per Vastu guidance enhances positive vibrations in our environment. You feel charged and rejuvenated after meditation and feel connected to God.
2.idols:
East side direction entrance is best for most of the deities. West and north are also preferred, but it is wise to avoid south. Goddess such as Shree Kali Mata prefers south side entrance only while lord Hanuman (son of Air) has no problem with any direction. He will be more powerful at facing south direction. The deity facing west and the person offering worship facing east is an ideal proposition.
Broken idols and torn pictures should not be kept in the prayer room. Any item, showpiece, idols of god etc. removed from pooja room (for whatsoever reason) must not be kept elsewhere in the house, and must be properly “viserjit” in the river.
Idols should not be kept facing each other. Also, never place any photographs of dead people in the pooja room.
3. Door:
It is wise to have two shutters to the door.
4.lamp:
The lamp-stand or up lighter can be in the south-east corner of the prayer room.
5.Roof and flooring:
White or light yellow marble work on the floor in the room is auspicious. It is good if the worship room is shaped like a pyramid, sloping inward and going upward towards the roof in the four directions. Use false ceiling in the pooja room and the roof of the room must be lower in comparison to the other room.
